A long work week or maybe putting in the work at the gym causes your body and mind to crave relief from the day to day tensions. You’ve heard about “The Body Tune Up” but can it really relieve what you're feeling?
What to Expect:
The Body Tune up is a 20 minute mini recovery session. The goal is to maximize the time of the session towards helping you stay strong; ultimately “tuning you up” for whatever you need to push through next. First we start with a friendly conversation about the main activities you’ve done throughout the week. I learn what sensations you are feeling and in what parts of your body. This allows us to create the most optimal game plan for the session. I will start with light compressions to feel the state or tone of your muscles. After the assessment I utilize the hyper volt percussion gun to loosen or warm up the muscles. Next depending on the sensations described during the assessment we will practice active or assisted stretching. I end with massaging the area(s) your body holds the most tension and a hot towel neck stretch.
What to Wear:
(Ladies)
Top:
A tank top to allow access to the neck and shoulders easily. Or a comfortable loose fitting t-shirt you would not mind dirting with cream, oil, or water from the hot towel and massage portion of the session.
Bottoms:
Leggings, long biker shorts, or joggers.
The ideal minimum length should be mid thigh if shorts are form fitting, if shorts are baggy or loose please wear biker shorts to keep modesty during the stretching portion of the session.
***We can modify the session if a client comes in with inappropriate attire. However it may affect the overall experience in a poor way for this specific kind of recovery session.
(Gentlemen)

Hygiene:
No sweat, sand, or have just finished a workout. No need to purposely shower prior only asking to please be mindful. Sweating is natural, even during a session. But sweating from yard work or a vigorous activity then coming into a session is frowned upon. Disregarding these guidelines may result in rescheduling.
**The X House has a shower within the facility open to members.
Hair: Ideally clipped or tied up so it does not get in the way of the back/neck massage.
